MICHAEL LASTUKA BIO

I began my career at State Farm in 1990 in the former Ohio Region as an Auto Estimatics Inspector and became a Property Claim Trainer there in 1995. In 1997, I operated as a special projects Trainer in Ohio and assisted in the implementation training of the Claim Processor position in the Zone. In 1998, I became an Instructor at the Corporate Office and was responsible for co-authoring and delivering the Estimatics and Management schools as well as the Select Service workshops in Bloomington and around the Company. In June 2004, I became an Estimatics Team Manager in the Northeast Zone where I managed a Claim Operation and Select Service program in South-Central PA. In January 2012, I returned to the home office to become the Auto Industry Liaison in Enterprise Research. I retired from State Farm April 30, 2026.

All the opportunities I’ve had at State Farm have kept me close to the Collision Industry. Prior to my career at State Farm, I owned and operated a Collision Repair Facility in the Cleveland Ohio market. I am also an ASE and I-Car Certified Collision Technician, current CIC member, am very passionate about supporting our secondary and post-secondary collision vocations and have been an automotive enthusiast all my life.
